AO Booklist Footnote Issues - Salamanca - 02-16-2024 Year nine page, in the footnotes, the links are the wrong way around. Tables of contents goes to the breakdown page and the breakdown link leads to Table of contents. For planning purposes, there is a Table of Contents with dates for all 4 volumes of A History of the English Speaking Peoples, and a schedule to break down the week's chapter into 4 short daily readings. (Back) RE: 2024: Report Typos/Dead Links Here - mmdollar - 03-07-2024 Year 12 has quite a few footnote errors. Mainly there are numbers listed with a broken link and/or the footnote numbers are wrong or don't match. Thanks! I just randomly clicked quite a few of the links and they all worked for me. RE: 2024: Report Typos/Dead Links Here - Jagdiorii - 04-04-2024 Year 2 booklist, footnote #2 includes the following text: Cindy Rollins did a Circe Mason Jar podcast that included the role of audiobooks with difficult books. There's an archived copy here. List of available audio books for Year 2 The "here" links to a login page for https://player.fm/series/circe-institute-podcast-network-2067138/on-reading-and-persevering-with-difficult-books - which has to be logged into to listen to the podcast. So if you don't have/want an account with Player.Fm then this link isn't available. Not sure this is really an issue, but thought I'd mention it. I found a link on https://shows.acast.com/circeinstitutepodcastnetwork/episodes/on-reading-and-persevering-with-difficult-books that isn't behind a login. The link for "list of available audiobooks for Year 2" goes to https://thecommonroomblog.com/2013/08/free-audio-resources-for-ao-year-2.html, and links to an "oops that page can't be found" page. RE: 2024: Report Typos/Dead Links Here - pcd33 - 06-02-2024 https://amblesideonline.org/ao-y2-bks footnote #24 for the searchable taxonomy. Its not exactly dead, but it goes to a page that isn't up anymore, which directs you to a wayback machine post. RE: 2024: Report Typos/Dead Links Here - Rondalyno - 07-05-2024 Footnote 64 for Y10 Beacon Lights of History: Beacon Lights contains many short biographies. We do not suggest you read them all, but rather, you may wish to choose one or two on people of interest to your student. See Val Jacobsen's website for a review of this series Link no longer works to Val Jacobson's website. The Link in Y10 for the 77 minute Vimeo video under citizenship does not work in both places- the booklist and in its footnote #45. If I understand the footnote correctly, you CAN (if you want to) sign up for the free course here (https://www.patriotacademy.com/biblicalcitizenship/) and watch the second video. (Just mentioning that for the time being. Leslie will try to update the link too.) RE: 2024: Report Typos/Dead Links Here - KayPelham - 07-21-2024 This isn't a typo as much as a editing/formatting need. Sorry, I tried to screenshot and copy here, but it didn't work. If you look at the booklist for Year 4, next to Poor Richard you see the usual icons and then the warning about there not being a Kindle version. Then the footnote [18] appears about 3 or 4 lines later. Somebody could miss that there is a footnote (which concerns a few things, one of which is that what happens when you go to the Amazon link for the book and Amazon tries to tell you that there is a Kindle version). I just noticed this because someone posted in the FB group that they started reading Poor Richard to her Year 4 daughter, and the daughter was wondering why they were reading a love story. And then many responses followed with Wrong Book! RE: 2024: Report Typos/Dead Links Here - Lani - 07-23-2024 Year 10 footnote 102 the link for Key to Uncle Tom's Cabin no longer works. Also, the lite version of the booklist does NOT have this footnote for UTC. Here is a new link for it: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/54812 |
