I've wondered that too...

I don't think so. It used to be, but they have changed that because it made the threads get messy.
What you can do is "edit" the post and redact whatever needs redacting, with a note that you changed it. Be aware that if someone responds to your post, whatever the quoted will still be in their post even if you change the original. - Mandie
Mom to Jack (16 - year 11), Sally (15 - year 10), Molly (11 - year 6), Gareth (9 - year 3), and Sunny (7- year 2)Occasionally blogging at http://teachingdragonslayers.blogspot.com
That's what I thought, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Thanks.

If you don't want people to see your post you can just edit it and say something like:
This info has been blocked by Bombadillo because it did not meet his liking after he posted it /\ (In my case) "Anyone who doesn’t view music as a gift from God must be a clodhopper indeed and does not deserve to be called a human being; he should be permitted to hear nothing but the braying of asses and the grunting of hogs. I have no use for cranks who despise music, because it is a gift of God...” -Martin Luther
